Abstract
A review on the application of high frequency induction combustion-infrared absorption spectrometry to the determination of carbon or sulfur in inorganic non-metal samples, including inorganic solid chemicals (solid oxides and inorganic salts), metal ores, rocks, soil, dust, coal, carbon materials, graphite ores, silicates, refractories, solid catalysts, and etc. was presented. The main analytical conditions, such as the amounts of sample and flux taken and the order of their additions, and the use and choice of reference materials, were specially summarized. Prospect of the application were also given (156 ref. cited).
